Ok not really but we are getting closer and closer to the reality of our church coming together. We have decided on the Logo and we have our Core Values squared away. I'm not good at the Blogging thing, but I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date on the going's on of Ridgepoint. Right now we are getting PO boxes and things squared away. I am tired and I feel ickey. So I am going to bed. Oh OH oh oH I almost forgot! I will finally get to meet my neice for the first time next week, I'm excited and you bet there will be pictures.

We're here doing our thing!

So we're here in Florida. We just had our first day, it was our pre-conference intensive, our track was creative communication with Mark Batterson. Cool dude, he's the lead pastor at National Community Church in D.C. I'll have to blog in more detail about that some other time. But uh anyway I want to give a shout out to all the people that made this trip possible, with out your support and prayers we wouldn't be here working to further the Lords kingdom. Seriously we have just started the conference and I am so excited to se what else is in store for us in the coming days. Mucho love to you all, I have some great pics and funny stories to tell... later.

Peace

Just tell us already!!!

Haven't really had a lot going on lately. Just patiently waiting to hear from the Lender that owns the house we are trying to buy. Everybody is good to go, our mortgage people, our realtor, the listing agent, the previous home owner, the PMI people, everybody wants this thing to happen. We are just waiting to get the lenders approval... or disapproval of our offer. At this point I would be content if we did or did not get the house I am just tired of waiting! Here's a pic of the front of the house, it's at 115th and Olive and is seriously a nice house at a GREAT price.

So anyway, other than all of that, it's my birthday on Sunday, I am also leaving for the conference on Sunday. My flights at 3:00 and I'll be in Florida for a few days. I'm excited. I will definately be home sick and writing email's like a crazy person. At the same time I think it will be a nice break from work.

Oh yeah I almost forgot we finally have a name for the church... it's Ridge Point. I like it! So be checking that site out soon for some killer updates and info.... no pressure!

Looooong Time

So it's been a very long time since my last post. I know you all have missed me huh. Yeah right who reads this? Anyway, we have been super busy with trying to buy a new home. I would post details and updates and all of that fun stuff, however, I would hate to have to write that post that says: "never mind all of the excitement, we didn't get it" that would suck, so I'm keeping it real simple and just say we are trying to buy a house.

On another note. We are good to go for Exponential '08. We have our tickets and just need to take care of a few minor expenses but we are very excited to see what God will show us on this trip. I know Josh has been sharing a lot of personal insight on his life and his relationship with God. I hope I can do that too... I just don't know if I'm ready yet... I'll get over it, it's not that I'm afraid of what people will say about me, it's that I may have one perspective in the morning and something completely different that night, or that I would come across the wrong way or write it wrong, I have a hard time expressing myself in words. Ahh whatever. I'll give it a shot later.

See ya on the flippity flop!

Random Stuffoni!

So I have been pretty bad at not posting regularly like I wanted. So here are some little random thoughts:

  • To all you hipsters out there wearing t-shirts with Che Guevara on them. Stop it! Do you even know who he was? He was a murdering communist, and if you really knew what he stood for, you wouldn’t be wearing is image on your body, or maybe you would because you're a socialist-liberal who doesn’t care about freedom!
  • Whew... anyway looking forward to a new episode of Lost tomorrow :)
  • I need to talk to Josh about where we are at with our Florida trip to Exponential '08
  • It's my birthday in a couple months... don’t really know what I want/want to do yet.
  • Work is crazy and people are disappointing I pray for patience and opportunities to share God's love. Even if it's just showing up for work and doing my job as if I were doing it for God.
  • I don't think I'll be voting this year... The president works for us right? So in a sense we are his employer. If I were an employer interviewing people for an important position, I think I would want to interview more people for the Job and not have to pick from the losers I've already seen. Ah this election is gonna suck! Are there any good candidates out there or are we stuck with the republicrat McCaine (Bacrak and Billary aren’t even an option)
  • I pray that doubt leaves my mind and I am filled with love, faith, and hope!

Have a good one and I'll see ya next time!

The Mist

I went to the Bell Canyon Pavilion 8 theatres yesterday and saw Steven Kings "The Mist". It was $1.50 Tuesday and so I thought... why not. Well, the movie was great no doubt. It's about this mist that rolls into a small town after a big storm hits, and something in this mist is killing people. What's cool about this movie is that I was more horrified about what was happening among the people taking refuge in a grocery store, than I was when they ventured into the dangerous mist. This movie really dives into what can happen when fear strikes at the heart of man. They do a very good job in explaining the psychology of how, when people are scared enough, you can get them to do just about anything. The effects were awesome and the storyline was great. The ending was very... Wow! I recommend this movie, there is no nudity, there are a few curse words but not so much it takes away from the movie going experience. I must say, the "bad lady" in the movie is shown twisting the word of God around and manipulating people through fear, and I think it was done in such an extreme way, that someone who has no knowledge of Christianity would be able tell that this lady was NUTZ and not preaching Gods true message of salvation. Well I hope someone would recognize that’s not what Christians believe.

So on a side note: It was $1.50 Tuesday and, there plenty of talkers, people on cell phones, and people who feel the need to get up every 2 minutes to pee or snort crack or whatever it was they were doing. So yes cheap movies are fun, but uh the crowd is what you would expect.

Lost Season 4... our reactions

Hello everybody. If you dont watch Lost you're probably a communist and hate America! Just kidding but really... anyway I want to put some pictures that show our reactions to the insanity that is ABC's LOST....booom...... that was the uh, nevermind, so lets do this:

In our last episode we see our people split into two groups the Jack group, and the Locke group. The Jack group find three people from the "rescue" team and Locke's group finds one, so that puts us at: Jack-3, Locke-1. Jacks winning! Now we need to keep track with who takes who from who and who allows/kills who.... ya follow me. Ok so here are our (Sarah and I's) reaction to the events from the last two episodes of Lost:

Lost is finally back!

Hurley tells Claire Charlie is Dead
Jack pulls the trigger on Locke

Locke says he is listening to Walt (when asked where he's getting his orders from)

The "rescue" team says they came to the island to get Ben! We have to wait till next week!

So yeah if you don't watch lost you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's ok nobodys perfect.

I would like to talk more about it but I dont have all day! I gots things to do, people to see, lasagna to eat!!! ohh yeah see ya later!
